Co-morbidity

Like other sensory motor defects, Central Auditory Processing Disorders rarely occur alone. A child who cannot effectively suppress extraneous noise may also not be able to use his eyes to track words across a page or co-ordinate his fine muscles in his hand to write easily.

Since a child with a Central Auditory Processing Disorder may not be able to block out meaningless noise, he may appear to the observer to be easily distractible. This is one of the reasons children with a Central Auditory Processing Disorder may be misdiagnosed with ADHD. However, if a Central Auditory Processing Disorder child also has ADHD and so that he already has a deficit of inhibition, then the effects of his Central Auditory Processing Disorder are much worse.

Symptoms

So the signatures were worth just over $1000 each. That is, at best, a significant expression of doubt that his name will endure over the ages (even if the car somehow does).

Barack Obama listed his car – his used car, the Chrysler 300C that he actually drove – for a cool $1 million on eBay. A 2005 Chrysler 300C Sedan with only 19,000 miles might typically be worth $15,000, so that is quite a celebrity mark-up.

Obama did not autograph the car. He is counting on his celebrity status – real celebrity, he is a President, after all – to sell the car and make him huge gobs of money. And most presidents are remembered, although not all of them are.

An article in Scientific Daily, dated August 8, 2007, suggests that a lack of dopamine in the brain may be related to attention deficit. Each of them was given a positron emission tomography (PET) scan before an after the administration of a drug known to bond with dopamine in the brain and limbic system. The results of the testing were that the ADHD group had much lower levels of dopamine bonded to the drug than did the healthy adults.
